My clients’ experience.
In a big city like Barcelona, it's important to choose a hotel not only based on the price but also on location. This hotel is close to Plaça de Catalunya, where the Aerobus from El Prat Airport arrives. You can also walk to most of the city’s main attractions.

Breakfast: cheese, jamón, fried eggs with bacon, scrambled eggs, yoghurts, pastries, fresh vegetables and fruit. Coffee, tea, and packaged juices. There are also cereals – for those who prefer them. Overall, the breakfast was really good for a 3* city hotel.

There's a small rooftop lounge with a jacuzzi. Of course, it’s open only when the weather allows – no rain.

Value for money. 
Barcelona is quite an expensive city. So the price of around €120–140 for a double room in the centre is a good deal. We booked well in advance, but closer to the date the price was already higher — I checked it again three weeks before arrival. We compared the pros and cons of other hotels with a similar location and pricing, and the travellers chose Hotel Ciutat Vella.

From my personal interaction with the staff (I arranged a birthday surprise) — they were very kind and guest-oriented.
